The Sierra Pacific Golden Bears (Hanford, CA) softball nipped the visiting Mt. Whitney Pioneers (Visalia, CA), 11-10 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Golden Bears (5-11) will now prepare for their bout against Kingsburg (Kingsburg, CA). The Vikings go into the Tri-County - Kings bout with a 10-4 record. In their last bout, Kingsburg was edged by Bullard (Fresno, CA), 3-0, in a non-league bout.

The Pioneers now possess a 2-15 record. They play next when they travel to Porterville for a East Yosemite bout on Tuesday, April 9. Mt. Whitney will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Roosevelt (Fresno, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 6-7.
