April 5, 2024: Florence, AL 35634 Rogers Pirates (Florence, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Skyline Vikings (Scottsboro, AL), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Pirates now own a 9-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Columbia Central for a 4A District 9 challenge on Monday, April 8. Rogers will battle a Lions squad coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Marshall County (Lewisburg, TN). The Lions record now stands at 10-5.
With the loss, Skyline falls to 17-6 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Lawrence County (Lawrenceburg, TN) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 5. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 4-2. Lawrence County won 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Central Magnet (Murfreesboro, TN)
