Huntingtown Hurricanes (Huntingtown, MD) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD), 8-3 in a league test.

With the win, Huntingtown upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Hurricanes host Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD) to battle the Raiders in a Southern Maryland test on Friday, April 8. The Raiders enter the battle with a record of 4-1.

The Cavaliers now possess a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lackey for a Southern Maryland battle on Friday, April 8. Calvert will play a Chargers squad coming off a 8-3 non-league win over St. Charles (Waldorf, MD). The Chargers record now stands at 4-3.
