In Thursday's league contest, the Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC), by a margin of 17-2.

With the triumph, Murphy moves its record to 7-4 on the year. The Bulldogs host Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC) to play the Eagles in a Smoky Mountain 1A contest on Tuesday, April 18. The Eagles come into the contest with a record of 7-3.
