The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Decatur Eagles (Decatur, TX) and the visiting Springtown Porcupines (Springtown, TX), saw Decatur's softball squad nip Springtown by a count of 2-1.

The Eagles now sport a 20-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Krum for a 4A Region I District 8 match on Tuesday, April 11. Decatur will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Lake Worth (Lake Worth, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 17-7.

With the loss, Springtown falls to 14-12 on the campaign. The Porcupines travel to Castleberry (Fort Worth, TX) to encounter the Lions in a 4A Region I District 8 test on Tuesday, April 11. The Lions come into the test with a record of 1-11. Castleberry lost 13-0 in their recent league test against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, TX)
