In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN) baseball squad edged the visiting Alexandria-Monroe Tigers (Alexandria, IN), by a final score of 13-12.

With the win, Monroe Central upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The Golden Bears host Eastern Hancock (Charlottesville, IN) to battle the Royals in a Mid-Eastern challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Royals come into the challenge with a record of 1-3. Eastern Hancock lost 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Richland (Lynnville, TN)

With the defeat, Alexandria-Monroe falls to 5-3 on the season. The Tigers travel to Madison-Grant (Fairmount, IN) to battle the Argylls in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 9.
