Illinois High School Softball - Reed-Custer gets by Auburn
April 6, 2024: Braidwood, IL 60408 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) and the visiting Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL), witnessed Reed-Custer's softball squad tip Auburn by a count of 10-9.
The Comets now sport a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Manteno for a Illinois Central Eight match on Monday, April 8. Reed-Custer will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 7-6 league win over Peotone (Peotone, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 10-0.
With the loss, Auburn moves to 9-4 on the season. The Trojans travel to Pontiac (Pontiac, IL) to meet the Indians in a non-league match on Saturday, April 6. The Indians go into the match with a record of 2-3. Pontiac won 7-0 in their recent non-league match against Limestone (Bartonville, IL)
