Illinois High School Softball - Clinton bounces El Paso-Gridley
April 6, 2024: El Paso, IL 61738 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL) and the host El Paso-Gridley Titans (El Paso, IL), witnessed Clinton's softball squad overcome El Paso-Gridley by a final score of 16-4.
The Maroons (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Warrensburg-Latham (Warrensburg, IL). The Cardinals go into the battle with a 7-6 record. In their last battle, Warrensburg-Latham notched a victory over Taylorville (Taylorville, IL), 5-4, in a non-league battle.
The Titans now possess a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Lexington for a Heart of Illinois battle on Monday, April 8. El Paso-Gridley will meet a Minutemen squad coming off a 18-4 non-league loss to Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL). The Minutemen record now stands at 5-8.
