April 6, 2024: Mountain View, AR 72560 Mountain View Yellowjackets (Mountain View, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Highland Rebels (Hardy, AR), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Yellowjackets now own a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Melbourne for a 3A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Mountain View will face a Bearkatz squad coming off a 7-4 non-league loss to Heber Springs (Heber Springs, AR). The Bearkatz record now stands at 17-4.
With the loss, Highland falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Batesville (Batesville, AR) to face the Pioneers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6. The Pioneers enter the challenge with a record of 2-8. Batesville lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Valley View (Jonesboro, AR)
