New Mexico High School Softball - Hot Springs knocked off by Wingate
April 6, 2024: Truth or Consequences, NM 87901 In Saturday's non-league contest, the Wingate Bears (Fort Wingate, NM) softball team overwhelmed the host Hot Springs Tigers (Truth or Consequences, NM), by a margin of 17-2.
With the triumph, Wingate moves its record to 4-6 on the year. The Bears host Zuni (Zuni, NM) to play the Thunderbirds in a 3A District 1 contest on Tuesday, April 9. The Thunderbirds come into the contest with a record of 2-9. Zuni lost 19-6 in their recent non-league contest against St. Michael's (Santa Fe, NM)
In their next game, the Tigers play the Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers (Las Cruces, NM) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, April 13. Hot Springs will attempt to move on its 0-13 season record. The SonBlazers come into the contest with a 9-1 record after their 19-3 league win over Capitan (Capitan, NM).
