April 6, 2024: New Orleans, LA 70115 Willow Lions (New Orleans, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Morris Jeff Pelicans (New Orleans, LA), 16-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Lions now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Jefferson for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8. Willow will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 31-18 non-league win over New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy (New Orleans, LA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-5.
With the loss, Morris Jeff falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Pelicans travel to Frederick A. Douglass (New Orleans, LA) to battle the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8.
