The South Fayette Lions (McDonald, PA) softball routed the host New Castle Hurricanes (New Castle, PA), 13-5 in Saturday's league bout.

The Lions (4-0) will now prepare for their bout against Mars (Mars, PA). The Fightin' Planets go into the WPIAL 5A 3 bout with a 1-6 record. In their last bout, Mars was routed by Western Beaver (Industry, PA), 13-0, in a league bout.
