April 6, 2024: Trumbull, CT 06611 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Trumbull Eagles (Trumbull, CT) and the visiting Norwich Free Academy Wildcats (Norwich, CT), witnessed Trumbull's softball squad tip Norwich Free Academy by a count of 12-10.
The Eagles now sport a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to St. Joseph for a non-league match on Tuesday, April 9. Trumbull will meet a Cadets squad coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Sheehan (Wallingford, CT). The Cadets record now stands at 2-1.
With the loss, Norwich Free Academy moves to 0-2 on the season. The Wildcats host Old Lyme (Old Lyme, CT) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league match on Tuesday, April 9. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 3-0. Old Lyme won 2-1 in their recent league match against Hale Ray (Moodus, CT)
