April 6, 2026: Merrillville, IN 46410 The Andrean Fighting 59ers baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Wheeler Bearcats to 1 in the Fighting 59ers non-league win on Monday.
The Fighting 59ers now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to DePaul College Prep for a non-league test on Wednesday, April 8. Andrean will play a Rams team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Deerfield (Deerfield, IL). The Rams record now stands at 5-1.
With the defeat, Wheeler drops to 0-1 on the year. The Bearcats travel to Merrillville (Merrillville, IN) to play the Pirates in a non-league test on Friday, April 17. The Pirates go into the test with a record of 0-2.
