In Thursday's league challenge, the Pittsburg Pirates (Pittsburg, CA) baseball squad edged the visiting Heritage Patriots (Brentwood, CA), by a final score of 7-6.

With the win, Pittsburg upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Pirates travel to Acalanes (Lafayette, CA) to battle the Dons in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 14. The Dons come into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Acalanes won 18-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Saint Mary's (Albany, CA)

With the defeat, Heritage falls to 9-6 on the season. The Patriots travel to Freedom (Oakley, CA) to battle the Falcons in a Bay Valley challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 10-6. Freedom won 11-4 in their recent league challenge against Antioch (Antioch, CA)
