In Friday's non-league contest, the Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV) softball team held off the visiting South Charleston Black Eagles (South Charleston, WV), by a margin of 1-0.

With the triumph, Hoover moves its record to 6-4 on the year. The Huskies travel to St. Albans (St. Albans, WV) to play the Red Dragons in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 8. The Red Dragons come into the contest with a record of 7-2. St. Albans won 9-1 in their recent non-league contest against George Washington (Charleston, WV)

In their next game, the Black Eagles play the George Washington Patriots (Charleston, WV) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, April 8.
