The Burroughs Bears baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Taft Toreadors to 4 in the Bears non-league win on Monday.

The Bears now hold a 15-3 record. They take the field next when they host Monroe for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 8. Burroughs will play a Vikings team coming off a 17-1 non-league win over Panorama (Panorama City, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 11-5.

With the defeat, Taft drops to 4-14 on the year. The Toreadors travel to Birmingham (Lake Balboa, CA) to play the Patriots in a West Valley test on Wednesday, April 9. The Patriots go into the test with a record of 11-6. Birmingham won 5-2 in their recent league test against Cleveland (Reseda, CA)
