April 7, 2025: Mars, PA 16046 The Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA) baseball the visiting Freeport Yellowjackets (Freeport, PA), 7-2 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Fightin' Planets now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Highlands for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 10. Mars will clash with a Golden Rams team coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Knoch (Saxonburg, PA). The Golden Rams record now stands at 4-3.
With the defeat, Freeport drops to 3-4 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA) to clash with the Rams in a WPIAL 3A 3 challenge on Wednesday, April 9. The Rams go into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Ligonier Valley lost 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA)
