Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) backers exited the stadium satisfied Monday as they saw their lacrosse team nip the visiting Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC), 7-6 in a non-league game.

With the victory, Ashley improves its record to 4-2 on the season. The Screaming Eagle host Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC) to play the Cougars in a non-league game on Saturday, April 26. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 7-3.

The Pirates now have a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Laney for a non-league game on Wednesday, April 9. Topsail will play a Buccaneers team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 6-1.
