New York High School Softball - Averill Park bounces Catholic Central
April 7, 2025: Averill Park, NY 12018 The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Averill Park Warriors (Averill Park, NY) and the visiting Catholic Central Crusaders (Troy, NY), observed Averill Park's softball team get by Catholic Central by a tally of 6-2.
The Warriors (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Bethlehem Central (Delmar, NY). The Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Bethlehem Central was routed by Saratoga Springs (Saratoga Springs, NY), 11-6, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Crusaders clash with the Lansingburgh Knights (Troy, NY) in a Section 2 Colonial bout, on Wednesday, April 9. Catholic Central will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 16-2 league loss to Ichabod Crane (Valatie, NY).
