In Tuesday's non-league game, the host Calhoun Sandcrabs baseball team scored a close 5-2 win over the King Brahmas.

The Sandcrabs (11-11) will now prepare for their game against Ingleside (Ingleside, TX). The Mustangs go into the 4A Region IV District 30 contest with a 10-13 record. In their last contest, Ingleside by Sinton (Sinton, TX), 23-0, in a league contest.

The Brahmas now possess a 9-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Zapata for a 4A Region IV District 31 contest on Friday, April 10. King will confront a Hawks squad coming off a 4-1 league loss to Tuloso-Midway (Corpus Christi, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 8-11.
