The Del Rio Rams (Del Rio, TX) softball nipped the host United Longhorns (Laredo, TX), 9-8 in Friday's league bout.

The Rams (13-7) will now prepare for their bout against Nixon (Laredo, TX). The Mustangs go into the 6A Region IV District 30 bout with a 4-17 record. In their last bout, Nixon was edged by Eagle Pass (Eagle Pass, TX), 12-0, in a league bout.

The Longhorns now possess a 12-16 record. They play next when they travel to Laredo LBJ for a 6A Region IV District 30 bout on Saturday, April 9. United will confront a Wolves squad coming off a 7-3 league win over Del Rio (Del Rio, TX). The Wolves record now stands at 13-8.
