Leroy Bears (Leroy, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Thomasville Tigers (Thomasville, AL), 7-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now sport a 20-4 record. They take the field next when they host Washington County for a 2A Area 4 challenge on Monday, April 11. Leroy will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 14-0 non-league loss to Blacksher (Uriah, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-9.

With the loss, Thomasville falls to 14-3 on the campaign. The Tigers host Millry (Millry, AL) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 11. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 18-9. Millry won 8-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Fruitdale (Fruitdale, AL)
