Illinois High School Baseball - Maine South loses to Benet Academy
April 8, 2023: Lisle, IL 60532 The Benet Academy Redwings crushed the visiting Maine South Hawks baseball team by a tally of 10-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Redwings now hold a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host St. Patrick for a East Suburban Catholic bout on Monday, April 10. Benet Academy will face a Shamrocks team coming off a 12-4 league loss to Joliet Catholic (Joliet, IL). The Shamrocks record now stands at 0-3.
Next, the Hawks clash with the Niles North Vikings (Skokie, IL) in a Central Suburban - North game, on Tuesday, April 11. Maine South will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Vikings go into the game with a 1-10 record after their 12-2 non-league loss to Palatine (Palatine, IL).
