The Springfield Wildcats (Springfield, OH) baseball nipped the visiting Central Crossing Comets (Grove City, OH), 6-5 in Saturday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Wildcats play the Beavercreek Beavers (Beavercreek, OH) in a Greater Western Ohio contest, on Monday, April 10. Springfield will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Beavers enter the contest with a 2-0 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Xenia (Xenia, OH).
