The Halifax County Comets baseball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Pleasure Ridge Park Panthers to 2 in the Comets non-league victory on Saturday.

The Comets (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Whetstone (Columbus, OH). The Braves come into the non-league challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Whetstone got by Linden-McKinley (Columbus, OH), 15-7, in a league challenge.

With the defeat, Pleasure Ridge Park falls to 7-1 on the season. The Panthers host DuPont Manual (Louisville, KY) to encounter the Crimsons in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 10. The Crimsons come into the challenge with a record of 12-2. DuPont Manual won 5-1 in their recent non-league challenge against South Laurel (London, KY)
