Pennsylvania High School Baseball - West Perry nips Newport
April 8, 2023: Elliottsburg, PA 17024 West Perry Mustangs (Elliottsburg, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Newport Buffaloes (Newport, PA), 7-6 in a non-league test.
With the win, West Perry upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Mustangs host Waynesboro (Waynesboro, PA) to battle the Indians in a Mid-Penn - Colonial test on Tuesday, April 11. The Indians come into the test with a record of 2-4. Waynesboro lost 11-0 in their recent non-league test against Cumberland Valley (Mechanicsburg, PA)
With the defeat, Newport falls to 6-1 on the season. The Buffaloes travel to Steelton-Highspire (Steelton, PA) to battle the Steamrollers in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 12. The Steamrollers come into the test with a record of 1-7.
