Illinois High School Softball - Shepard bounces Bishop McNamara
April 8, 2023: Palos Heights, IL 60463 Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish (Kankakee, IL), 14-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Astros now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Richards for a South Suburban challenge on Monday, April 10. Shepard will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Riverside-Brookfield (Riverside, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, Bishop McNamara falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Fightin' irish travel to St. Francis (Wheaton, IL) to battle the Spartans in a Metro Suburban challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 7-3. St. Francis won 9-4 in their recent league challenge against Aurora Central Catholic (Aurora, IL)
