Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Donovan Catholic Griffins (Toms River, NJ) and the visiting St. Anthony's Friars (Melville, NY), witnessed Donovan Catholic's softball squad tip St. Anthony's by a count of 5-4.

The Griffins now sport a 4-0 record. They play next when they travel to Pinelands Regional for a Shore B - South match on Monday, April 10.

With the loss, St. Anthony's moves to 2-2 on the season. The Friars travel to Immaculate Heart Academy (Washington Township, NJ) to face the Blue Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, April 8. The Blue Eagles go into the match with a record of 2-0. Immaculate Heart Academy won 13-0 in their recent non-league match against Wayne Valley (Wayne, NJ)
