The Manzano Monarchs nipped the visiting Rio Grande Ravens softball squad by a final score of 7-6 in Saturday's league battle.

The Monarchs (6-10) will now prepare for their battle against Cibola (Albuquerque, NM). The Cougars go into the non-league battle with a 16-3 record. In their last battle, Cibola held off Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM), 6-3, in a league battle.
