Illinois High School Softball - Olympia bounces Rochester
April 8, 2023: Stanford, IL 61774 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Olympia Spartans (Stanford, IL) and the visiting Rochester Rockets (Rochester, IL), witnessed Olympia's softball squad prevail over Rochester by a count of 11-0.
The Spartans now sport a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to St. Joseph-Ogden for a non-league match on Monday, April 10. Olympia will face a Spartans squad coming off a 13-1 non-league win over Tri-Valley (Downs, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 7-5.
With the loss, Rochester moves to 7-1 on the season. The Rockets host Normal University (Normal, IL) to face the Pioneers in a Central State Eight match on Tuesday, April 11. The Pioneers go into the match with a record of 7-4. Normal University won 7-4 in their recent non-league match against Normal West (Normal, IL)
