In Saturday's non-league contest, the Pymatuning Valley Lakers (Andover, OH) softball team held off the visiting Springfield Tigers (New Middletown, OH), by a margin of 7-6.

With the triumph, Pymatuning Valley moves its record to 5-1 on the year. The Lakers host Windham (Windham, OH) to play the Bombers in a Northeastern Athletic contest on Monday, April 10. The Bombers come into the contest with a record of 1-0. Windham 0-0 in their recent league contest against Badger (Kinsman, OH)

In their next game, the Tigers play the Waterloo Vikings (Atwater, OH) in a Mahoning Valley Athletic - Scarlet contest, on Monday, April 10. Springfield will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record.
