April 8, 2024: Mardela Springs, MD 21837 Mardela Warriors (Mardela Springs, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad tip the visiting Colonel Richardson Colonels (Federalsburg, MD), 5-2 in a non-league match.
The Warriors now sport a 9-0 record. They play next when they travel to Snow Hill for a Bayside - South match on Wednesday, April 10. Mardela will face a Eagles squad coming off a 19-3 non-league loss to North Dorchester (Hurlock, MD). The Eagles record now stands at 1-4.
With the loss, Colonel Richardson moves to 5-2 on the season. The Colonels host Kent Island (Stevensville, MD) to face the Buccaneers in a Bayside - North match on Wednesday, April 10. The Buccaneers go into the match with a record of 2-0.
