The Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) softball routed the host Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC), 12-0 in Monday's league bout.

The Pirates (9-1) will now prepare for their bout against Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC). The Cavaliers go into the Southern Carolina 4A bout with a 7-5 record. In their last bout, Cuthbertson toppled Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC), 16-11, in a non-league bout.
