The Gorton Wolves baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Poughkeepsie Pioneers to 4 in the Wolves non-league win on Tuesday.

The Wolves now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Lincoln for a non-league test on Wednesday, April 9. Gorton will play a Lancers team coming off a 15-8 non-league win over East Ramapo [Ramapo/Spring Valley] (Spring Valley, NY). The Lancers record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Poughkeepsie drops to 0-3 on the year. The Pioneers travel to Roosevelt (Hyde Park, NY) to play the Presidents in a non-league test on Thursday, April 10.
