April 8, 2025: Elmhurst, NY 11373 Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Newtown Pioneers (Elmhurst, NY) and the visiting Aviation Flyers (Long Island City, NY), observed Newtown's volleyball team top Aviation by a count of 2-0.
The Pioneers (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Metropolitan (Bronx, NY). The enter the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Metropolitan notched a victory over Bryant (Queens, NY), 2-1, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Flyers meet the Flushing Red Devils (Flushing, NY) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, April 10. Aviation will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Red Devils enter the contest with a 6-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Grover Cleveland (Buffalo, NY).
