In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Marlboro Mustangs lacrosse squad scored a tight 15-8 triumph over the Ocean Township Spartans.

The Mustangs (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Point Pleasant Beach (Point Pleasant Beach, NJ). The Garnet Gulls go into the Shore - Freedom contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Point Pleasant Beach was overwhelmed by Lacey Township (Lanoka Harbor, NJ), 15-4, in a non-league contest.
