Alabama High School Soccer - Calera toppled by Mountain Brook
April 8, 2025: Birmingham, AL 35223 Mountain Brook Spartans (Birmingham, AL) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Calera Eagles (Calera, AL), 6-1 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Mountain Brook moves its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The Spartans host Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, AL) to clash with the Huskies in a non-league test on Thursday, April 10. The Huskies come into the test with a record of 10-6. Hewitt-Trussville won 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Oneonta (Oneonta, AL)
The Eagles now sport a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Benjamin Russell for a 6A Area 5 test on Friday, April 11. Calera will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 3-3 non-league Stanhope Elmore (Millbrook, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-4.
