Mississippi High School Softball - Edwards drops to Clarksdale
April 8, 2025: Clarksdale, MS 38614 Clarksdale Wildcats (Clarksdale, MS) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad topple the visiting Edwards Tigers (Ruleville, MS), 9-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Clarksdale improves its record to 6-13 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Corinth (Corinth, MS) to face the Warriors in a 5A Region 1 game on Thursday, April 10. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 6-10. Corinth lost 10-0 in their recent league game against New Hope (Columbus, MS)
The Tigers now hold a 4-7 record. They play next when they host Humphreys County for a non-league game on Wednesday, April 9. Edwards will face a Cowboys squad coming off a 23-7 non-league win over Amanda Elzy (Greenwood, MS). The Cowboys record now stands at 4-2.
