Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Fort Hill Sentinels (Cumberland, MD), 15-10 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Mountain Ridge improves its record to 3-2 on the year. The Miners travel to Hampshire (Romney, WV) to play the Trojans in a Western Maryland game on Friday, April 11. The Trojans enter the game with a record of 3-5.

The Sentinels now hold a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Southern for a non-league game on Thursday, April 10. Fort Hill will play a Rams squad coming off a 16-14 league loss to Mountain Ridge (Frostburg, MD). The Rams record now stands at 2-2.
