Virginia High School Softball - Great Bridge bounces Indian River

April 8, 2025: Chesapeake, VA 23322

The Great Bridge Wildcats softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Indian River Braves to 2 in the Wildcats league win on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hickory for a Southeastern battle on Thursday, April 10. Great Bridge will confront a Hawks team coming off a 7-1 non-league win over New Kent (New Kent, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 6-0.

With the loss, Indian River moves to 2-4 on the season. The Braves travel to Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA) to confront the Tigers in a Southeastern battle on Thursday, April 10. The Tigers come into the battle with a record of 2-4. Oscar Smith won 6-5 in their recent non-league battle against Churchland (Portsmouth, VA)
