The Hernando Leopards baseball team scored 3 runs and held the host Mitchell Mustangs to 1 in the Leopards non-league win on Wednesday.

The Leopards now own a 19-4 record. They take the field next when they host South Sumter for a 3A District 7 test on Thursday, April 9. Hernando will play a Raiders team coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Springstead (Spring Hill, FL). The Raiders record now stands at 14-8.

With the defeat, Mitchell drops to 10-13 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Sickles (Tampa, FL) to play the Gryphons in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 14. The Gryphons go into the test with a record of 16-8. Sickles won 6-1 in their recent non-league test against Bloomingdale (Valrico, FL)
