Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV), 6-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Shady Spring upgrades its record to 2-4 on the year. The Tigers host Capital (Charleston, WV) to play the Cougars in a non-league game on Saturday, April 11. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 2-11. Capital lost 1-0 in their recent league game against St. Albans (St. Albans, WV)

The Grizzlies now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Liberty for a non-league game on Thursday, April 9. Nicholas County will play a Raiders squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Independence (Coal City, WV). The Raiders record now stands at 2-10.
