Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV) and the visiting Wayne Pioneers (Wayne, WV), saw Nitro's basketball squad wallop Wayne by a count of 82-53.

With the victory, Nitro upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Scott (Madison, WV) to play the Skyhawks in a Cardinal challenge on Saturday, April 10. The Skyhawks come into the challenge with a record of 5-9. Scott won 80-36 in their recent league challenge against Sissonville (Charleston, WV)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV) in a Freelance challenge, on Monday, April 12. Wayne will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Big Blacks come into the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 62-55 non-league win over Mingo Central (Matewan, WV).
