Georgia High School Soccer - Newton knocks off Salem
April 9, 2024: Covington, GA 30014 Newton Rams (Covington, GA) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Salem Seminoles (Conyers, GA), 8-2 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Rams confront the Archer Tigers (Lawrenceville, GA) in a 7A Area 4 challenge, on Friday, April 12. Newton will attempt to move on its 3-12 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 12-3 record after their 1-1 non-league Lanier (Sugar Hill, GA).
The Seminoles now possess a 0-13 record. They take the field next when they host Stephenson for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 11. Salem will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 10-1 non-league loss to North Atlanta (Atlanta, GA). The Jaguars record now stands at 7-7.
