Missouri High School Softball - Clever bounces Southwest
April 9, 2024: Washburn, MO 64656 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Clever Blue Jays (Clever, MO) and the host Southwest Trojans (Washburn, MO), saw Clever's softball squad achieve victory over Southwest by a count of 16-0.
The Blue Jays now sport a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marionville for a Class 2 District 5 match on Wednesday, April 10. Clever will face a Comets squad coming off a 15-5 non-league loss to Ash Grove (Ash Grove, MO). The Comets record now stands at 9-4.
With the loss, Southwest falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Trojans host Galena (Galena, KS) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Wednesday, April 10. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 1-3. Galena lost 10-0 in their recent non-league match against Columbus (Columbus, KS)
