South Carolina High School Softball - Woodruff bounces Emerald
April 9, 2024: Greenwood, SC 29646 Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Woodruff Wolverines (Woodruff, SC) and the host Emerald Vikings (Greenwood, SC), witnessed Woodruff's softball squad prevail over Emerald by a count of 22-0.
The Wolverines now sport a 5-2 record. They play next when they host Union County for a AAA Region 4 match on Thursday, April 11. Woodruff will meet a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 16-0 league win over Chester (Chester, SC). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 12-4.
With the loss, Emerald moves to 1-9 on the season. The Vikings travel to Batesburg-Leesville (Batesburg, SC) to meet the Panthers in a non-league match on Thursday, April 11. The Panthers go into the match with a record of 2-8.
