April 9, 2024: Mayville, WI 53050 Mayville Cardinals (Mayville, WI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Random Lake Rams (Random Lake, WI), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Cardinals now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Omro for a Flyway challenge on Thursday, April 11. Mayville will face a Foxes squad coming off a 14-0 league loss to Lomira (Lomira, WI). The Foxes record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, Random Lake falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Rams host Brillion (Brillion, WI) to face the Lions in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 12. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Brillion lost 4-2 in their recent league challenge against Valders (Valders, WI)
