North Carolina High School Baseball - Butler held off by Richmond

April 9, 2025: Rockingham, NC 28380

Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) followers left the game pleased Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC), 2-0 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Richmond moves its record to 12-6 on the season. The Raiders host Scotland (Laurinburg, NC) to battle the Fighting Scots in a Sandhills 3A/4A match on Tuesday, April 15. The Fighting Scots come into the match with a record of 9-7. Scotland lost 5-2 in their recent league match against Lee County (Sanford, NC)

The Bulldogs now possess a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Palisades for a non-league match on Thursday, April 10. Butler will battle a Pumas squad coming off a 14-2 league win over Ballantyne Ridge (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas record now stands at 8-8.
