South Carolina High School Softball - Chester edges Whitmire
April 9, 2025: Chester, SC 29706 The Chester Cyclones softball team scored 2 runs and held the visiting Whitmire Wolverines to 0 in the Cyclones non-league win on Wednesday.
The Cyclones now possess a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eau Claire for a AA Region 3 battle on Thursday, April 10. Chester will confront a Shamrocks team coming off a 17-2 league loss to Fairfield Central (Winnsboro, SC). The Shamrocks record now stands at 0-5.
With the loss, Whitmire moves to 9-4 on the season. The Wolverines host Thornwell (Clinton, SC) to confront the Saints in a A Region 1 battle on Thursday, April 10. The Saints come into the battle with a record of 5-5. Thornwell lost 16-6 in their recent league battle against Dixie (Due West, SC)
